Spanish Products
Sustainability
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR):
At Spanish Products, we believe that being part of a better world means actively contributing to society. That’s why every year we donate 1% of our profits to charity. We see this as a way to express our gratitude and share our happiness with those who need it most. At the end of each year, we publish in this section which charity we spent this money on, so that from 2025 we can see how this section of the site grows and reflects all the initiatives we have supported.
We want this space to be a testimony of our commitment and how small actions can generate a positive impact.
Our desire is to encourage others to contribute, each within their possibilities, to the construction of a more just, supportive and sustainable world. We know that every effort, no matter how small, counts to improve the future for everyone.
In addition, at Spanish Products we deeply value the importance of preserving traditional values and bringing them hand in hand with the advances that allow us to create a better society. We believe in the power of words and the impact of simple gestures such as a “please”, a “thank you” or a “sorry” when necessary. Respect, decorum and rules are essential to building a kinder society, where we can all understand each other better and treat each other with courtesy and consideration.
These values, which may seem small, are for us fundamental pillars for fostering closer, more respectful and pleasant relationships, and for creating a future in which coexistence and mutual respect are the basis of our interactions. We will start with our customers, but our desire is to extend this philosophy to our way of life in general.
2026
In 2026 we will continue to back initiatives that need encouragement and support to progress. Giving back part of what we receive, in resources or altruistic gestures, is our way of contributing to a fairer and more human world.
Action Against Hunger:
In 2026 we made our first contribution of the year to Action Against Hunger, an organisation supporting communities affected by droughts, food insecurity, flooding, extreme temperatures and lack of safe shelter. The climate crisis often impacts those who bear the least responsibility for it. As a company, our international logistics contribute to CO₂ emissions. Through this initiative, we aim to compensate part of that impact by supporting sustainable solutions and new opportunities for those most affected.Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy:
In 2026, we have once again supported research into Duchenne muscular dystrophy. This rare and degenerative disease still requires greater visibility and resources to advance the development of effective treatments. With this contribution, we reaffirm our commitment to supporting and giving a voice to those living with this challenging condition.Alzheimer Nederland:
We have made a donation to Alzheimer Nederland, supporting research, prevention, and the development of improved treatments. Today, one in five people develops Alzheimer’s disease, increasing to one in three in the case of women. We strongly believe in contributing to awareness and progress in the fight against this disease, with the aim of advancing towards a cure and, where possible, prevention.
2025
This year, we’ve continued to strengthen our social commitment by supporting causes we deeply believe in; those that focus on health, hope, and humanity. Through our contributions, we aim to support medical research, improve quality of life, and stand beside those who need it most:
-
Kanker Wereld Fonds
We have supported the Kanker Wereld Fonds, an organization committed to fighting all forms of cancer. Their mission to make treatments more effective, targeted, and safer, as well as to improve the lives of patients and survivor, inspired us to contribute. We strongly believe in the power of research to change the future of cancer and increase survival rates. -
Kika – Childhood Cancer Foundation
We also made a donation to Kika (Kinderen Kankervrij), a Dutch foundation dedicated to fighting childhood cancer. We believe this illness is especially cruel and unfair when it strikes children, and we want to help (however modestly) to support the development of cures and treatments that offer young patients a chance at a healthy future. -
Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy
(Research on Rare Diseases)
We’ve made a contribution to support research into Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a rare and degenerative disease. Much more awareness and funding is needed to find effective treatments, and we hope our support can help give voice and strength to those facing this difficult condition. - ABLA Guesthouse – Portugal:
In 2025 we supported ABLA Guesthouse, a social initiative in Portugal that allocates 100% of its profits to solidarity projects both locally and across Africa, including school-building programmes and child sponsorship. Within its own community in Portugal, ABLA also plays a vital social role: it acts as a guesthouse, a food bank and an integration hub for migrants arriving from African countries in search of work, offering housing in exchange for their contribution to the project. The discreet yet profound impact of their work deeply inspired us, prompting us to contribute to their mission. Small gestures can lead to meaningful change.
We are truly grateful for the opportunity to support these causes and reaffirm our commitment to backing impactful initiatives that make a real difference in society.
2024
This year, we have taken a step forward in our social commitment by collaborating with various causes that inspire and motivate us:
- Action Against Hunger:
As part of the DANA project (referring to the torrential rainstorms and flooding that affected some regions of Spain in October), we donated 3% of our profits from October to help combat food insecurity and its effects on the most affected communities.
- CRIS Cancer Foundation:
We partnered with this foundation to support cancer research through a monthly contribution. This decision took on a deeper and more personal significance when, months later, we learned that loved ones were facing this challenging disease.
- Sponsor of the Flamenco Zambomba Event:
Together with the Cervantes Institute of the Netherlands, we sponsored this exciting charity concert, raising funds for the Christodoulion orphanage, contributing to the well-being of children in greatest need.
We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with these causes and reaffirm our commitment to continue supporting initiatives that make a positive impact on society.
